About CASA MYRNA
Founded in 1977, Casa Myrna delivers solutions to end domestic and dating violence. The organization was named for Myrna Vazquez, an actress and activist who organized members of South End’s Puerto Rican community. Today Casa Myrna is Boston’s largest provider of shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence. Our comprehensive range of services, available in both Spanish and English, give women who are living in violent, abusive households tools to recover from the trauma of abuse and begin to build sustainable self-sufficiency. Our services include three residential programs; housing assistance; financial literacy education; legal and community-based advocacy; and counseling. Casa Myrna also operates SafeLink, the only statewide 24/7 toll-free domestic violence hotline in Massachusetts; and provides customized workshops and outreach activities to members of the broader community. In the past year, we reached more than 30,000 people through our efforts.

5.5.2013 CHARITY RUN KICKS OFF TRISHA BENNETT FOUNDATION
On behalf of the family of Trisha Bennett and all the unnamed families who suffered the tragic sudden death or serious injury of a loved one we express our sincere appreciation for your interest in our worthy cause.
This year, in remembrance of the third anniversary of Trisha’s death, the Trisha Bennett Anti-Violence Project is sponsoring Trisha’s Run, a 5K run / walk with the generous cooperation of the Marlborough Moose Lodge #1129, to benefit Jane Doe, Inc. (www.janedoeinc.org). Jane Doe Inc. provides funding for Framingham-based Voices Against Violence, a community outreach program for victims of violence or those seeking support before the violence escalates.
We encourage you or your company to get involved through run/walk participation, corporate giving, or in-kind donations.
